Rail Maintenance Expert

For our client, a global and successful mining organisation, who are in the process or expanding and investing in their operations are looking for an experienced Rail Maintenance Expert, to be based in a capital city in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Responsibilities:

  • Adapt and define the maintenance plans
  • Define the organisation of maintenance teams
  • Ensure that world-class processes are put into place
  • Suggest a training program to guarantee future success of the maintenance team
  • Prepare the future leaders of the team to create a strong succession plan

 

Requirements:

 

  • Previous Professional experience of maintenance of diesel and locomotive engines
  • Have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Preference for experience of working on GE and EMD machinery
  • Possess a professional qualification in maintenance
  • Fluency in French is a must, and English is an advantage
  • Previous experience in management is required
