For our client based in Central Asia we are seeking a highly skilled Metallurgist Consultant. This pivotal role is central to enhancing the processing capabilities of the mill operations, focusing on complex gold ore recovery and metallurgical process optimization.
About the Role:
The Metallurgist Consultant will be a key member of the team, leveraging expertise to advance processing strategies at the mill. The role requires a profound understanding of metallurgical processes, particularly within the realms of Carbon in Leach (CIL) plant operations and tank leaching. The facility boasts advanced technology, including an ISAMill for ultra-fine grinding and leaching tanks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve gold recovery efficiency.
- Tackle the complexities related to the site’s ore, ensuring effective and efficient processing techniques.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to make full use of the existing infrastructure and new installations for optimized operational performance.
- Contribute significantly to project preparations and executions.
Requirements:
- More than 15 years of metallurgy experience, with Russian language skills seen as a beneficial asset.
- Comprehensive knowledge of CIL and tank leaching processes.
- Prior experience or the ability to work in high-altitude conditions is essential, as the site is situated 4000m above sea level. Candidates must demonstrate adaptability to the unique challenges of high-altitude work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially in managing complex ore bodies and challenging recovery scenarios.
- Excellent team collaboration and communication capabilities, with a history of working effectively across teams and with external entities, including government relations.
Location:
The position is residential but entails a rotation schedule, accommodating work at the high-altitude site and in a nearby city, ensuring team member well-being. Accommodation responsibilities during offsite periods fall to the candidate.
Compensation:
A competitive compensation package, reflecting the experience and skills of the candidate, will be offered. Initially a consultancy role, there exists potential for full-time employment based on project needs and individual performance.
